Octan's central location on the continent, as well as its rich resources and temperate climate, have made it the major trading hub of Styrene. Under the rule of its current King, Sirius Business I, Octan has become one of the wealthiest countries on the continent- possibly the world- and boasts a strong army. It is second in the advancement of science, literacy, and industry only to Cape Space, with whom it enjoys a strong, long-standing alliance.

Octan has two major cities- its most active trading port, Port Onbyon, and its capital, Bricksburg, where the royal palace and the Temple of the Four Gods are located.
